You should have enrolled in my Step 2 CS course.:). Anyway, USCE is important for some programs but not for others. You need to research well which programs require USCE and which do not. Clinical research jobs, externships are good to have and can help if you have some glaring weakness in your resume. Old IMG, poor scores, etc. but people without clinical research background and without externships have gotten residency positions. So they are not a must. Askdoc Hi docjay,
